Age: 24 (2/16/1992)

Occupation: Ritualist for the Bharadvaja caste; Dancer.

Location: Mobile. Bharadvaja Compound hidden in New Delhi, Republic of India.

Personality: Headstrong, yet refined. Often speaks and acts without consideration even when well intentioned. Enjoys being the center of attention. Easily becomes lonely.

------Historical Background------

Long ago, when South Asia suffered from times of war and strife - Nakula, the fourth son of Pandu and the land's master of swordsmanship questioned the Kuru Grandsire Bhishma on his arrow deathbed as to which was the best weapon in all kinds of fighting. In his own personal views, Nakula thought the sword to be the most superior since even on having lost one's bow, horse and the chariot, a skillful swordsman could still defend himself against the mace and spear wielders. Nakula further queried the Grand-sire about the origin and purpose of their swords, the Khadga, as well as about its first preceptors.

Gladdened by these intelligent queries by Nakula, Bhishma related to him the complete History of the Khadga or "divine sword" starting from its creation down to the present.In the beginning, The Devas approached Brahma the creator of the universe in ancient time and protested against the unjust rule and evil doings of the Danavas, namely Asura's who belonged to an evil human race with the body structure of Giants.
Hearing the protest from the Gods, Brahma collected sacrificial objects and proceeded to perform a grand sacrifice with the foremost of the Rishis and Devas at the side of Himalaya.

During the course of the sacrifice, a dreadful creature sprang from the midst of the sacrificial fires scattering flames all around. It was as though a moon had arisen in the midst of the stars. He was colored like a deep-blue lotus. His teeth were terribly sharp, stomach lean and skinny and he was of exceeding energy and power. Simultaneously the earth started shaking, there were turmoils in the oceans, the forceful winds started howling all around, the trees started falling and being torn apart and the meteors started blazing through the skies, Brahma declared

“ The 'being' I have conceived is Asi. It shall effect the destruction of the enemies of the gods and restore the Dharma !”

Upon this, the creature assumed the form of a blazing sharp-edged sword, glowing like flames. This sword was the primordial weapon created by the Gods for the destruction of evil. The name of the sword was Asi, the personification and the primary energy behind all weapons ever created. As per Bhishma, the constellation under which the sword was born is Krittika, and whoever holds this weapon obtains sure victory.

Lord Brahma gave that sword to Lord Shiva and requested him to put down the sinners and evildoers and restore the righteousness. Lord Shiva assuming his terrible form, took up the sword and started the war against the Danavas, the enemies of the Deva's. The earth became miry with flesh and blood of Daityas and he destroyed the entire community of Daityas.

Lord Shiva gave the sword to Lord Vishnu. On course of time Vishnu gave it to Marichi, who gave it to all the great kings to defend their peoples from harm. From there, the Sword would pass numerous hands for numerous reason over the course of the years, until a Renowned General named Maharṣi Bharadvaja gave his son Drona this weapon. Drona used the Asi in the famous Kurukshetra war described in the epic Mahabharata becoming unconquerable in Kurukshetra war because he held this primordial blade.

After the death of Drona it was taken by Kripacharya, one of earth's many immortals. Kripacharya gifted this sword to Nakula and from Nakula it remained in his family as an heirloom until obtained by one of his sons, Satanika. Satanika, who studied the Vedas under Yajnavalkya and military science from Kripacharya become dissatisfied with sensual enjoyments and obtained spiritual knowledge from the instructions of Saunaka and ultimately obtained salvation. The sword again went back to Kripacharya for safe keeping till the revelation of the rightful owner of this weapon, Drona's grandson Ashwatthama.

Ashwatthama would go on to master this blade, realizing the Asi's true power as a celestial weapon, and would go on to help craft and wield many more in his lifetime before finally ascending to become an avatar of one of the eleven Rudras and one of the seven Chiranjeevi; His lineage, the Bharadvaja Caste, becoming the safeguards of his legacy - the celestial weapons or Astra.

------Post Cataclysm------

While the blow to the realm of the gods was severe, Lord Brahma’s watch would not be swayed against the evils that were. Sensing a large incursion of Davana making their way from Naraka - Essentially hell- Brahma instructed the Deities and Immortals that remained unaffected by the cataclysm to guide his peoples to safety in these times of darkness and uncertainty. He then left this realm with many of his Maharathi and prepared to do battle with the Danavan forces, lest they overwhelm this world and corrupt it further with evil and bloodshed.

A small time later In 1990, a fairly significant Sri Lankan civil war begins, and the government turns to the Republic of India. The current Pujari (temple priest) of the Bharadvaja Caste Jiya Bhāradvāja - having been drafted by his country's high sages - was tasked with maintaining the Celestial archive known as The Manavastra; a large golden tome with infinite pages of a continuous chant that was meant to overpower and break down any supernatural creations the target had created for itself. During India's occupation there, Jiya proved invaluable against the enemy Sri Lankan mystics with the power of this Tome; from halting landslides to dispelling military illusions. However, the Stress would become to much on his body; and he became susceptible to the sicknessess of the jungle. Before long he could no longer perform his duties and was dismissed from service.

Returning home to his deathbed to suffer, Jiya began fearing his inevitable passing. Desperate; he began offering prayers to Yama, - Hindu god of death still presiding in the earthen realm- to spare his soul and allow him longer life. While Yama would hear none of this, Jiya would attract the attention of the Danava Kali, who was the reigning lord of Kali Yuga and archenemy of all planes of the Loka, Lord Brahma’s kingdom . Though the demon's form was thin and wavering, it called out to him and it explained that it tried to face both Brahma and the Dharma personified in combat shortly after the storms that shattered the heavens - seeking to seize power during the God's’ weakness - but was eventually overwhelmed and upon his escape he discovered his current mortal body had been stabbed and burned during his battle with the Maharathi.

The demon offered a deal to Jiya; Kali would become his Djinn in return for the man's body upon his natural death. Instantly realizing it was a trap, but aching to escape the pain of his sickness; Jiya accepted, and once again life flourished throughout the man as Kali bound himself to Jiya's spirit. However, before Kali could take full hold of the mortal's soul; Jiya found himself impaled with a Khanda blade by Kripacharya - the immortal already sensing a severe shift in the Dharma and appearing behind him completely soundless.

Kripacharya grew furious with Jiya, explaining that in the small time frame that Kali had a grip on Jiya's spirit; the Demon had used the mortal’s spiritual power to allow himself to become a Dvaar - or gateway - for an already unspeakable amount of evils to be unleashed upon the land. As he spoke, the immortal used his power to begin separating Kali from Jiya's soul; trapping it within the blade before pulling the sword out of the human, though no wounds were left present.

Slamming the Khanda into the floor by the blade, Kripacharya was convinced that mortals were no longer fit for such a duty in this age if they fell to such simple trickery. The immortal announced a new duty for the Bhāradvāja Caste; They would hunt down the devilry that slammed into existence once more and purify the Dharma, just as Lord Brahma had done years ago.

Following Kali's sealing into the Khanda blade; Kripacharya quickly went on to teach the Bhāradvāja Caste the method of cleansing the corruption spread upon the land. While they did not have his connection the eternal Dharma, he would demonstrate numerous ways for the members to gather the negative energy of the land and purify it to destroy the connections tethering the evils to this land. Many members of the Caste caught on quickly, their martial training for the Astra allowing them to grasp many concepts he set forth, and within the span of a few years the Caste had altered themselves from Guardians to Warriors.

Born in 1992, a few months after Kali's eventual banishment to Patala, a realm of hell beneath Naraka; Asha was sired to Jiya and his wife, Kavya. With their newfound Philosophy firmly seated in their mind, the couple wasted no time instilling the path of the Caste onto their daughter. Jiya would take the girl to various martial gatherings held in the Caste's courtyard, and tried to introduce her to the many weapons that hung along their great halls as often as he could.

Asha's mother, on the other hand, would try to teach her about the world around them, and often sang hymns of heroes long past to the girl while they idly went through their lives. The idea of her child becoming a warrior for the gods seemed only to elate the woman, and she would constantly boast to the other mothers of silly exaggerations, such as how her daughter picked up a knife for the first time despite being unable to walk or some other nonsense that would make the child out to be some great warrior prodigy.

However, in 1997; it was revealed to the family by Kripacharya that Asha’s weak body would be unable to properly connect with the Dharma of the world surrounding them, and therefore unable to use her spirit energy to ritualistically cleanse the evils infecting the land. This news brought great misery to Jiya and Kavya. However; Asha would not be swayed by this disclosure. Getting to her feet, she approached the massive immortal and gripped the bottom of his robe; Demanding that he make her a warrior worthy of honoring her parents and gods. Kripacharya snapped his gaze down at the girl and for a moment Asha's parents froze with fear before the giant dark man swiped Asha up with both hands, roaring with laughter as he did so. Many children in this Caste feared his giant appearance, but this tiny girl was not only indifferent towards him; she had the bravery to seize his garments and refuse denial.

He would take this one, Kripacharya decided, and mould it into something great. The giant turned to Asha's parents, girl still in his hands, and promised to make her into an Astradhari; a bearer of the Astra weapons.

Over the years, Asha would tutor under Kripacharya as he helped her grow connection to the Dharma. The immortal had symbols of the sacred icon of Aum seared into the bottoms of Asha’s feet; of which all creatures walk the veil of this world and the next. These symbols - standing for ultimate reality, entirety of the universe, truth, divine, supreme spirit, cosmic principles, knowledge - would help her channel the Dharmic forces into her body from the hell of impure energy beneath them known as Naraka rather than the simply tainted Dharma from their current plane.

It was via specialized Nadi, or spirit veins, in the foot that all Dharmic energy was brought up to be purified and expelled by one's body back into the world creating a constant circle of karmic balance; the only differences here would be that Asha would be purifying a much more foul version of the energy along with adding to the overall positive Dharma in the area. Though the pain had been extraordinary, and left her Nadi - or veins of spiritual energy- polluted, after a year and a half of daily recovery rituals to cleanse the hellish energy from her spirit Asha would find she now had the ability to cleanse the tainted Dharma on her own, and as such was ready to truly begin her studies.

As Asha began to work with the unpurified energy, she began to take note of how the energy pulled itself this way and that inside her Nadi and,In time, Asha found her body moving instinctively to the flow of Dharma. She found no issues with these motions when she was given her first blade in January following the turn of the century. Kripacharya informed her she was finally ready to learn the rituals of their gods.

It was during her first sealing that Kripacharya began to teach her of the various points of chakra that aligned her body; and how purifying Dharmic energy through them can affect the output of the released essence. Asha wasted no time in putting everything the immortal said to practice, and almost instantly the combination of her new connection to Naraka as well as the natural rhythm she'd picked up from the movements of the Dharma began to pour itself into her swordplay.

In the time following; the Bhāradvāja Caste began making a name for itself. The group had begun to establish itself as a low-ranking group of enforcement to deal with threats outside new organizations capabilities, and as such began applying a strict doctrine of regulations to the Caste's activities. While the average folk of the land were now aware to the presence of the deities, the Caste was needed now more than ever to prevent corruption from seeping into cultural areas and wreaking havoc there. However, their numbers had expanded over the years, and eventually they had a wide connection of Caste members and colleagues helping them keep an eye out for things.

Asha commonly leads the front of these scouting parties now, becoming quite versed in the rituals needed to heal the land as well as having a bit of combat expertise under her belt. She had aged from a young, headstrong girl into a mature, still-headstrong woman; but her desire to expel evil and honor her Caste burned stronger than ever. Questions often lingered at the edge of her mind, things like whether or not their task of cleansing the Dharma of this world was possible, but the foul feeling of the realm of Naraka creeps at the underside of her foot once more, and her resolve strengthens. She would see balance restored; come blood or come thunder.

------Personality------

Asha suffers -or benefits- from a very impulsive personality. From a very early age, her parents made attempts to instill a warrior mindset in her, and their marks did not miss their targets. Her father, Jiya, often talked with her about different aspects of battle, and pushed her to seek to further her efforts in training. In an all too predictable chain of events; Asha’s mother, Kavya, would consistently follow behind her - praising her for the smallest accomplishments while bragging to anyone in the nearby vicinity.

The simultaneous push of progression and praise served to better her however, and she began applying an attitude of perfection to anything she attempted; to the point of obsession in some cases when unwilling to settle for 'good enough'. This became especially true when learning under the guiding hand of Kripacharya, breaking her Nadi several times upon overexerting herself in an attempt to further impress the Immortal. Even with her spiritual channels wounded, she was able to complete many rituals through sheer willpower alone; proving her capacity for controlling Chakra was indeed improving.

Indeed, Asha is most content when she is able to prove herself in trying new things and succeeding. By this definition; she often finds herself jumping hobbies and tastes in leisure activities at the drop of a hat, working them until she has shown herself capable enough in that field before moving onto the newest trend that catches her attention. Because of this nature Asha is moderately knowledgeable in many categories of subjects but normally dances off to a new adventure before eking out any true expertise and as such is often left at dead ends in detailed explanations of more advanced topics.

Her demeanor causes her -more often than not- to lie and cover up the fact that she might be left unaware to certain issues at hand. While she will admit to being unknowledgable of more serious topics like cultural affairs and the like, she is not above creating a convoluted tale to cover any scrutiny in her character or stories along with more fiction to cover any holes in previous fables. More than once has she found her lies stacked against her; and it is only then that she -even reluctantly- admits the truth; though this has not deterred her from continuing to act all-knowing.

From this: combined with her diminutive size, her Caste has begun dubbing her as short tempered, among other various height and attitude related remarks. While she would not immediately agree they were right, Asha began making notes to rein herself in, even if only slightly, and practice some self-control; becoming wiser and more refined as the years rolled on. She would find, however, that her forward attitude had been off putting towards her fellow Caste members over the years; and while they were not outright hostile towards her, they made a habit out of avoiding interactions and extended conversation with the girl. Eventually, Asha began turning to the outside world for attention, eager to make new acquaintances who more appreciated her own quirks.

While Asha remains fiercely loyal to her Caste and duties, her knowledge of the civilization outside was limited to the journeys made with Kripacharya, and she found herself growing more curious and amazed towards the world around her as technology and cultures continued to advance. Hence, with Kripacharya’s blessing -and her parent’s disapproval - she often left the compound to further her studies of the cultures around her, arguing that it would allow her better understanding of what her duties truly stood for. However, no matter how long she stayed gone or whatever stories she’d bring from her travels, she found it much more refreshing to return to the Bharadvaja compound than stay elsewhere.

---Powers/Combat---

------Manipulation of Dharma chakras------

A Ritualist by nature; Asha is capable of tapping into the tainted Dharma of the Naraka realm via the Aum symbols on her feet. From this realm, she draws upon the corrupt energy; siphoning it upwards through the Nadi in her legs to the Sushumna Nadi located within her spinal column.

It is here that she is able to purify and mould the Dharmic energy to her needs, and then align it to one of the several focal areas of chakra within her body via a specific set of motions and actions relating to the chosen point of focus; Storing it away as long as her body will accommodate the intensity of the converted energy.

Connecting her Nadi once more to a Chakra alters or enhances Asha’s body, mind, and spirit in ways unique to each node, as well as allowing her to quite literally ‘dance’ through battle as she weaves and connects different styles of steps to continuously build upon her reserve of power. However, the Chaotic energy of the tainted Dharma is harmful to the body, and overuse of a singular point of chakra focus can cause physical trauma to select areas of the body associated with that particular element of focus. In this sense; it is easiest to see Asha as a 7-tank rechargeable fusebox, able to deplete and refill her reserves of power so long as they are not overexerted.

These chakra focus on several areas of control, as follows.

------Muladhara------
Known as the root chakra and Located at the base of the spine in the coccygeal region; Muladhara is said to correspond to the adrenal medulla, and is mainly controlling the fight-or-flight response when survival is under threat.

Normally it is related to instinct, security, survival and also to basic human potentiality. Physically, Muladhara governs sexuality, mentally it governs stability, emotionally it governs sensuality, and spiritually it governs a sense of security. Interestingly, Muladhara also has a relation to the sense of smell, though this is naturally governed by weaker, more primal Chakra points.

This focal point centers itself around defense more than offense, allowing Asha to arrange her skin cells in tough rigid patterns - as well as bonding the iron in her blood to the surrounding arteries and capillaries. As such, Asha becomes physically tough; apt at swatting aside swords with her hands and has been able to withstand a sniper's bullet. Though the force of the impact is not lessened, as long as she has Dharmic energy to spare and is not knocked unconscious, Asha can survive moderate amounts of damage with no more than a hiss of pain.

Nevertheless, if Muladhara is to burn out; Asha’s skin and muscular cells will begin to repel from one another; and if taxed too far, even simple movements can cause an external laceration or even internal hemorrhaging if unwary.

------Svadhisthana------
Svadhisthana or sacral chakra is located in the sacrum and is considered to correspond to the testes or the ovaries that produce the various sex hormones involved in the reproductive cycle. Svadhisthana is also considered to be related to, more generally, the genitourinary system and the adrenals.

The key issues involving Svadhishthana are relationships, violence, addictions, basic emotional needs, and pleasure. Physically, Svadisthana governs reproduction, mentally it governs creativity, emotionally it governs joy, and spiritually it governs enthusiasm.

This particular mould of Chakra is Asha’s Go-To for situations requiring more physical power than she would normally have in her body. Svadhisthana is able to increase the flow of oxygen and strengthen the protein bonds within her muscles, as well as travel the Nadi in her skeletal system to bolster her small form from any excess strain or resulting impact force.

Proper use of Svadhisthana has seen Asha able to lift many times her body weight and kick trees and other sturdy objects in half. Even passively, Asha is able to perform feats such as leaping onto city buildings with ease as well as falling from incredible heights without issue.

In Lieu of such power, Svadhisthana is fairly taxing to maintain, and overloading the focus will see a rush of endorphins spread throughout the body to deal with the fever and cramps forming in the muscles used; many times causing semi- to complete paralysis of whatever limb or organ was affected in the process depending on how long the Chakra was exerted.

------Manipura------
Manipura is related to the metabolic and digestive systems. It is believed to correspond to Islets of Langerhans which are groups of cells in the pancreas, as well as the outer adrenal glands and the adrenal cortex. These play a valuable role in digestion, the conversion of food matter into energy for the body.

Key issues governed by Manipura are issues of personal power, fear, anxiety, opinion-formation, introversion, and transition from simple or base emotions to complex. Physically, Manipura governs digestion, mentally it governs personal power, emotionally it governs expansiveness, and spiritually, all matters of growth.

While under the impression of this chakra, Asha is able to rapidly increase the speed of her body's movement and reaction times by overloading her system with an enhanced form of neurotransmitters and forcing muscle control to respond to the main cerebrum over the motor cortex. From running and swinging a blade to the rate of her speech or performing simple Mathematical calculations; if it’s attached to her nadi - it can go faster.

As per the usual drawback, prolonged exposure to this energy is capable of corrupting her adrenal glands, which will then begin producing a chemical similar to dopamine; slowing her actions and movements considerably while lessening the overall effect adrenaline has on her mind.

------Anahata------
Anahata is related to the thymus, located in the chest. The thymus is an element of the immune system as well as being part of the endocrine system. It is the site of maturation of the T cells responsible for fending off disease and may be adversely affected by stress.

This healing chakra is related to the colours green or pink, and often the Dharmic energy burns visibly in this spectrum. Key issues affected by the invocation of Anahata involve complex emotions, compassion, tenderness, unconditional love, equilibrium, rejection and well-being. Physically Anahata governs circulation, emotionally it governs unconditional love for the self and others, mentally it governs passion, and spiritually it governs devotion.

While discharging this Foci; Asha will slowly mend light to moderate wounds as well as fight off disease and toxins that may be affecting her body, though larger injuries and severe toxins as well as irregular forms of harm such as radiation require a larger amount of Dharmic energy to counter, and will quickly push Asha past her threshold. Asha is also able to mould the Anahata chakra into other focal points on the body, completely sacrificing the access nadi to Anahata in order to restore a prior damaged Chakra elsewhere if she has done so, though any physical trauma caused in the process of injuring these foci will not be healed.

Like the other chakra, long periods of use of Anahata will cause it to become corrupt, and Asha’s physical and mental health will quickly begin to deteroriate. Her body loses any defense against natural allergens such as smoke and pollens and it becomes impossible for her to fight off any anxieties, thus hindering her strength and ability to think in combat situations.. Worse-case scenarios has seen her spiraling into panic attacks after losing her connection to Anahata; easily mistaking the pain associated with her thymus for a Cardiac or Vascular Injury.

------Vishuddha------
Known as the Throat Chakra; Vishuddha may be understood as relating to communication and growth through expression. This chakra is paralleled to the thyroid, a gland that is also in the throat and which produces thyroid hormone, responsible for growth and maturation. Physically, Vishuddha governs communication, emotionally it governs independence, mentally it governs fluent thought, and spiritually, it governs a sense of security and in the Dream yoga plays an important role in the art of Lucid Dreaming.

When attuned to this focal point, Asha gains much needed defense against magical arts; bolstering the stability of her Nadi as well as allowing her spiritual veins to adapt to many different forms of magics; both natural and alien. With enough of the enemy’s energy moulded and stored into this foci, Asha becomes able to mentally examine the energy and how it works, redirecting the flow of the absorbed attack, turning it back against her opponents or disabling the source of its power entirely if located - provided she is able to withstand the harm the attacks or curses would otherwise impart on her body as well as physically execute said magicks in the first place.(IE, casting fire may be possible, becoming fire - not so much)

As with all chakra, overuse of this focal point is self-destructive, and in this particular case will begin to cause internal hemorrhaging of the mouth, throat, and tracheal cords; and can lead to scar tissue interfering with speech functions all the way to asphyxiation via inhaled blood if not treated with care.

------Ajna------
Ajna is known as the third eye chakra and is linked to the pineal gland which may inform a model of its envisioning. The pineal gland is a light sensitive gland that produces the hormone melatonin which regulates sleep and waking up, and is also postulated to be the production site of the psychedelic dimethyltryptamine, the only known hallucinogen endogenous to the human body.

Ajna's key issues involve balancing the higher and lower selves and trusting inner guidance. Ajna's inner aspect relates to the access of intuition. Mentally, Ajna deals with visual consciousness. Emotionally, Ajna deals with clarity on an intuitive level.

When empowered by this Chakra focus, Asha can gain insight to that which is normally hidden from view; literally, metaphorically, or otherwise, and dispel it’s illusionary cover with enough focus behind her intent. In this sense, she is able to perform various sleuthing tactics such as locating and tracking various spirit energies if she knows what she's looking for, to being able to peer into ones mind if they are so forwards with their thinking. On the other end of the spectrum, maintaining a large enough supply of Ajna chakra will grant Asha an increased resistance to hypnotic and mind controlling effects should she be subjected to such - assuming she is aware enough to call upon the supply in the first place.

Like the other chakra, overuse of this focal point can result in physical trauma, in this case damaging Asha’s eyes and causing partial or even full blindness for an indeterminate amount of time.

------Sahasrara------
The crown chakra; generally considered to be the state of pure consciousness, within which there is neither object nor subject. When the tainted Dharmic force rises to this point, it unites with the purified energy of the mind, and a state of liberating understanding is attained. Symbolized by a lotus with one thousand multi-coloured petals, it is located either at the crown of the head, or above the crown of the head. Sahasrara is represented by the colour white and it involves such issues as inner wisdom and the death of the body.

Its role may be envisioned somewhat similarly to that of the pituitary gland, which secretes hormones to communicate to the rest of the endocrine system and also connects to the central nervous system via the hypothalamus. The thalamus is thought to have a key role in the physical basis of consciousness and as such Sahasrara's inner aspect deals with the release of karma, physical action with meditation, mental action with universal consciousness and unity, and emotional action with "beingness."

Normally unaccessible by humanity; Asha’s experience in handling the hazardous energies from the Naraka realm beneath the earth has left her spiritual channels lengthened and more able reach upwards towards this particular focal point. It is within this Chakra that Asha is force to open her Nadi to the capacity necessary to summon forth fully operate the Astra -or spiritual weapons - beyond their normal capacity.

However,the ratio at which Asha is able to purify Dharma through this foci is extremely small, and requires a large amount of the positive Sahasrara energy to be built up in her body before she can begin benefiting from it’s power. To that end; if left unpurified though another chakra point the power of the Naraka realm quickly becomes akin to radiation poisoning and is fatal if not expelled from the Nadi.

Even with these strong relations to denizens of higher power, Sahasrara is still a chakra point found in all beings, and as such is still capable of causing harm to the body if utilized incorrectly. In effect, overuse of this chakra can bring about anything from strong headaches to severe vertigo, crippling the user for hours or days at a time, as well as stemming proper spiritual flow in the Nadi.

Asha has autodidactically learned to use the various dances of her peoples to focus her Nadi into specific Chakra foci. In effect; these motions can range from simply tapping her foot rhythmically, positioning her body in various poses, or a full-on choreography of interconnected movements.

However, a key constituent is that each path of Asha’s Nadi requires distinct movements to appropriately connect with the particular focus of chakra she desires. Because of this, a knowing individual can easily correlate the styles of dance she utilizes to the different chakra points available.

    Muladhara: Movement is centered around a core, normally involving the body weight shifting side to side with deep leg bends or hip movement

    Svadhisthana: dramatic gestures and footwork are much more literal - usually involving aggressive swinging movements of the wrists, arms, feet, and legs.

    Manipura: vigorous, high energy style that often appears as a swaying, continual motion of the upper torso and shoulders, with strong posings of the legs, arms, and neck.

    Anahata: graceful, fluid, and sinuous with greater emphasis on hand and upper body gestures

    Vishuddha: features slower graceful movement of wrists, neck and eyebrows, gradually increases speed and energy as the dancer continues.

    Ajna:uses hand movements and facial expressions inspired by ancient Sanskrit texts with an exacting footwork.

    Sahasrara: noted for its fixed upper torso, legs bent or knees flexed out combined with spectacular footwork, a sophisticated vocabulary of sign language based on gestures of hands ,eyes and face muscles

------Rituals and Chantery------
Asha is more than capable of calling upon the powers of her ancestors through many of the Hymns, Rituals, and poems they left behind. As her mother would often sing parts of these to her -and eventually become her main tutor in historical and spiritual matters- she has memorized many of her heritages art forms and can recite many of the passages without thought.

Though Vague, many of the written and spoken rituals take on various meanings when applied ritualistically.

In one such instance; the Song of the Sannyasin - a poem of thirteen verses written by Swami Vivekananda - glorifies Hindu concepts on Sannyasa and defined the ideals of monastic life. For centuries it has been a tradition in India to revere Sannyasis and encourage people (especially the younger ones) to work for self-realization. According to Hindu beliefs, 'Sannyasa is the best path of life one can take. In these 13 short poems, Vivekananda discusses the concept, beliefs and ideals of Sannyasa or monastic life.

However, these Hymns can take on a whole new meaning when infused with purified Dharmic energy. In the above example, completing such a poem would inspire self-preparedness, and the body would react accordingly; bolstering its own immune system as well as increasing the amount of Platelets, Collagen, and Thrombin proteins in the body to better prepare for clotting lacerations.

While Asha is apt at performing these rituals, she is by no means able to do so under the duress of combat. Due to this fact - combined with her Caste’s wide collection of historical knowledge (at least 730 hymns with about 6,000 mantras in the Atharvaveda alone) - it would be frivolous to attempt listings all of the possible Hymns and Poems Asha is capable of reciting.

------Khanda------
The word khanda has its origins in the Sanskrit khaḍga (खड्ग) or khaṅga, from a root khaṇḍ meaning "to break, divide, cut, destroy". The khanda is a South Asian double-edge straight sword. It is often featured in religious iconography, theatre and art depicting the ancient history of India. Some communities venerate the weapon as a symbol of Shiva, and it is a common weapon in the martial arts of the Rajputs, Sikhs, Marathas, Orissans and others.

In combat, Asha fights with a Khanda and Scabbard; either brandishing the pair together in a style similar to twin blades, or leaving the sheath attached the blade to make for a heavy, club-like weapon. These divine blades are purposed for tearing spirits from the realm and as such are capable of damaging numerous otherwise-intangible objects; such as the smokeless flame body of a Djinn to a purely magical barrier. The blade itself - thick and purposed for maintaining form - is not meant for attacking more material substances and persons however, and is unsuitable for dealing with heavy armor or hard surfaces.

As it’s name would apply, The Bharadvaja’s Khanda are able to directly break or destroy a Metaphysical object’s structure via the smithing of Yamaduta (Lord Yama’s messengers of death) hair into the blade. While this would normally disrupt the circle of death and reincarnation, the Bharadvaja Caste have taken great care to forge the symbol of the Jain Vow of Ahimsa onto each and every one of their blades. As such; when facing a spirit or otherwise ethereal persona the Khanda takes on a much more pacifying role, weakening and disabling the entity other than outright destroying it.

Because of this, along with the fact that the spirits they depress would otherwise restore itself; The Bharadvaja Caste have come up with the solution of temporarily sealing these beings inside the blade with a ritualist chant spoken upon forcing said entity into submission. This allows Caste members to manage whatever malignant forces would threaten the area and, once ritualistically balanced of it’s Dharmic energy, remit the spiritual presence to it’s correct locations. Interestingly, younger Bharadvaja have expressed the idea of taming and utilizing creatures otherwise not meant for reincarnation - such as wild Mayura; birds brought life from feathers of Garuda - as an enhancement to their abilities, though this is generally frowned upon by older members of the Caste.

While the Khanda are numerous and consistently being forged by the Bharadvaja, Asha’s Scabbard is a much rarer commodity. Crafted from the living wood of the Bodhi tree, it is capable of interacting with spiritual energies much in the same way as the Khanda blade. It also acts as an additional level of pacification towards any spirits sealed within the blade upon being placed inside the scabbard, and is mainly used for traveling for long periods of time, when the materials or time for conducting the proper purification ritual would unacquirable. Amazingly, it is quite durable and able to withstand an abundance of both physical and magical damage before breaking. For the times this should happen, a number of rituals and hymns are available to restore the Bodhi scabbard and/or it’s magical properties.

------Sudarshana Chakram------
One of the many Astra weapons; this spinning, disk-like weapon with 108 serrated edges was used by the Hindu god Vishnu for the ultimate destruction of an enemy. It’s name is derived from two Sanskrit words – Su(सु) meaning "good/auspicious" and Darshana (दर्शन) meaning "vision". Hence, the word Sudarshana collectively means "vision of which is auspicious". It was one of the 4 items found in his hands and could be stopped by none; would never break and returned only to him - wherever he may be - after it was thrown as though it were sentient and obeying.

Commanded by Lord Vishnu’s projection; Kripacharya bestowed this Astra upon Asha after proving her servitude to the god of preservation by single handedly restoring the Kumbakonam Temple. It appears more as an ornate, ceremonial ring more than it does a weapon, and is the only Astra weapon Asha is able to consistently maintain and use due to it’s variable levels of power. In its weakest form; it rests dormant as a bangle around her left wrist and does not consume any spiritual energy; hardly qualified for combat applications.

When empowered with a slight amount of purified Dharmic energy via one of the many chakra foci however, the residual spirit energies of Vishnu are called to life and the Sudarshana Chakram begins growing its former serrated edges once more; gaining altered forms and effects during its flight. These varying amounts and stylings of blades are dependent on the type of chakra absorbed and while the duration of the rings abilities cannot be extended (each empowerment lasting only a single throw) without full knowledge of the Astra weapon, Asha is more than able to amplify the strength of these phenomenon by simply feeding the Chakram more purified energy.

    Muladhara : Causes the Chakram to become dense and heavy, capable of causing strong impact damage to crush or knock objects and enemies away.

    Svadhisthana : Sharpens the Chakram’s blades to extreme levels. This form is able to cleave and pierce through light-to-medium density objects and gouge tough surfaces.

    Manipura : Allows the blades of the Chakram to become much more aerodynamic, massively increasing its speed. While not incredibly powerful, the increased velocity is better suited for unsuspected strikes.

    Anahata: When enhanced with this Foci; The Chakram will detonate a burst of purified Dharma once reaching its travel length or target, damaging nearby magical or presences by spiking it's energy.

    Vishuddha: With this Chakra, the Sudarshana Chakram gains the ability to separate into multiple blades dependant on the amount of energy used to power it, up to 108 blades in total.

    Ajna: Connected to sight; Ajna allows the Chakram to follow Asha’s point of focal vision as best as it is able. Most effective at long ranges.

    Sahasrara: Returns to it’s original Astra form, becoming incredibly dangerous. (See Astra weapons)

Due to it’s ability to destroy both physical entities as well as the ethereal, Asha attempts to avoid fatal use of this weapon in order to maintain proper flow of death and reincarnation - Though Devana and other miscellaneous entities that adhere to their own cycles are not out of the question.

Astra Weapons

To summon or use an astra required knowledge of a specific incantation/invocation, when armed. The deity invoked would then endow the weapon making it impossible to counter through regular means. Specific conditions existed involving the usage of astras, the violation of which could be fatal. Because of the power involved, the knowledge involving an astra was passed in the Guru-shishya tradition from a Guru (teacher) to a Shishya (pupil) by word of mouth alone, and only following the establishment of the student's character. Certain astras had to be handed down from the deity involved directly, knowledge of the incantation being insufficient.
When Asha has finally stored enough power from the Sahasrara Chakra, she is able to link her Nadi to that of the various Dharmic forces around her and invoke the abilities of the Astras. Some of the notable examples are:

    Manavastra - A tome of hymns with unlimited pages and verses; Could overcome supernatural protections and carry the target hundreds of miles away. Can also inspire humane traits in an evil being.

    Kaumodaki - A divine, heavy mace; it could split open the earth to destroy whole armies and its strikes were akin to thunder. Infallible and without parallel.

    Brahmanda Astra - A large shield or force field, stretching ‘far as the eye can see’; it is one of the few known weapon that can neutralize other Astra, and was wielded by Lord Brahma in his battle with the Danavan god, Kali.

    Sudarshana Chakram - The legendary discus of Lord Vishnu. Infallible, flies and returns at the command of its owner. Cannot be stopped by anyone, except Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva or their equivalents. It has tremendous occult and spiritual power to destroy everything.

Caveat: Indo-Aryan religion is not my strong point, so don't rely on me as a word of authority.

I'm gonna say right off the bat that this looks damn good. The story is well-written and extraordinarily well-researched. Asha's powers are interesting and also clearly based on specific research, and you've given her an extensive personality, as well.

Now, literally my only issue with this is a very small one:

Now, I do have experience training with historical swords and other weapons, and I've also discussed this with cxl. It's pretty impractical to use a khanda with only one hand, since it's such a blade-heavy cutting weapon. Historical Shastarvidya has users alternating between one and two hands with a khanda, depending on how they wish to use it. Of course, I could see Asha invoking one of the several Chakras for strength, though doing so all the time would probably drain her. Given that she's a human, I think she would more often than not choose to not drain herself of energy if she needed to use her khanda.

This is the among the best apps I've seen in a while. I can probably approve it, since that seems to be the general consensus, though I want to make sure no one else has any issues with it, I guess.
